Joint Centralized Admission Test ( JCAT Exam ) | 2025-2026
JCAT stands for Joint Centralized Admission Test. It was started back in 2016 with the collaboration of three medical institutes: King Edward Medical University Lahore, the University of Health Science Lahore, and Fatima Jinnah University Lahore.
You can apply at King Edward Medical University; therefore, it is also known as Kemu JCAT.

Exam Date
KEMU conducted its last exam on October 24, 2024. Now that the year 2025 will be announced, we will inform our readers.
Programs
The Joint Centralized Admission Test is for induction in the Master of Surgery (MS), Doctor of Medicine (MD), and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) programs being offered in various institutions.
As this test is for MS/MD/MDS, its name is the same as that of other medical tests, PMC MDCAT and NUMS MDCAT, but they are for MBBS and BDS.
Exam Schedule
KEMU conducts this exam for the first intake in March and the second intake in October/November.
Validity
The test is administered twice a year and has a three-year validity period.
Eligibility
Criteria for the Joint Centeral Admission Test are as follows:
- MBBS/BDS for HEC/PMC-recognized unverity, college, or institute
- 1-Year House Job
- PMC Registeration
Passing Criteria
Passing marks on the entry test are 60%.
Exam Center
According to the Kemu official website, the exam is conducted in Lahore and Multan.
Document Requirements
The following documents are required for exams:
- Passport-size photo
- CNIC or Passport
- All Markseet, Degress, and Transcripts
- PMC registration certificate
- House job certificate
Exam Fee
The examination fee is approximately 6,000 rupees.
