NUMS Foreign Admissions and seats distribution for MBBS/BDS | 2024-2025

NUMS attached, constituents and affiliated medical and dental colleges enroll foreigners to get medical MBBS or BDS education in Pakistan. But there are definitely certain criteria for this.

Affliated , Constituents and Attached Colleges Seats Allocations

The National University of Medical Science affiliated constituents and attached colleges that have allocated seats for foreign candidates are as follows:

According to the NUMS official website, “the number of seats is provisional and subject to change as per the approval of competent authorities.”

NUMS Admission Criteria for Foreign Students

According to NUMS, a foreign student is someone who is from another country and has either permanent foreign citizenship or is a Pakistani citizen living permanently in another country with foreign nationality.

According to some sources, “a dual Pakistani national can take admission to foreign seats by leaving Pakistani nationality,” but you should confirm this with the NUMS Admission Office.

This student must have finished their 12th grade or an equivalent exam outside of Pakistan and have a certificate from their previous school to prove it.

  • 60% marks in FSc/HSSC/A-Level/12th Grade (Pre-Medical) or equivalent, with subjects i.e., chemistry and either physics or mathematics.
  • Candidates may apply on the basis of the following tests:
    • MDCAT (NUMS): 55% marks for admission in the MBBS program and 50% for the BDS program.
    • Valid MCAT (USA) with 50% marks in each subject.
    • Valid UCAT (UK) with 50% marks in each subject.

Merit aggregate Formula for NUMS MBBS/BDS Admissions

  • MDCAT (NUMS), MCAT (USA) / UCAT (UK), where applicable 50%  
  • HSSC / F.Sc (Pre-Medical)/A-Level/12th Grade                                                              40%
  • SSC / Matric/ O-Level/10th Grade                                                                                   10%
