Pakistan nursing council

The Pakistan Nursing and Midwifery Council (PNMC) was founded in 1948 and is an independent authority with the following mandate:

1. Licensing of Nurses for Practice
2. Registration of health professionals like nurses, midwives, and Lady Health visitors (LHVs)
3. Approval of Nursing Educational Institution
4. Conduct nursing exams

A lot of other services are provided through the Pakistan Nursing Council. The PMNC head office is located in Islamabad; therefore, it is also called Pakistan Nursing Council Islamabad.
